About the Artist
You’re most likely to find me painting en plein air throughout Maryland’s varied landscapes or my childhood stomping grounds in New York’s Hudson Valley. Chasing light, conveying nature’s wonders, and capturing life’s ephemeral moments drives my passion for art, especially as personal connection becomes increasingly precious in our digital age. I credit my artist parents for showing me how to view the world with a sense of wonder and am grateful for their enduring legacy. Though I’ve been blessed with awards in various media, the tactile nature of pastel, charcoal, and colored pencil maintains pride of place in my work as an artist.
I’m a proud member of the Mid-Atlantic Plein Air Painters Association, the Maryland Pastel Society, American Society of Botanical Artists, and the Montgomery County (Maryland) Art Association, where I previously served as a board member.
